You are right, The Muse is often unsettling. Michael Langham could make you quite uncomfortable: very challenging, sometimes difficult, often prickly. But his vision seemed to be above everyone else's eyeline, and all was forgotten and forgiven when the show was open and we ALL saw the genius of his vision. Duvall was an unsettling presence, to be sure. But I was in awe of his total readiness, preparation, and commitment. But not warm and friendly. Thanks for reading..... I'm often afraid to read your blogs because they challenge me to step up and it's so much easier to take a nap. Peggy and I are going to Turkey and then London for a couple of weeks then I go to work on a new solo show called "Buried in Feathers." It's a solo show about what it was like to run away from "the business" for 10 years and try running a retail (upholstery) business in the Fairfax district. It's quite a bit lighter than "The Yellow House." Have a great summer. As ever, Burke Once again Michael, you inspire me.
